Welcome to miniCampaign.

This file is to help you install miniCampaign on your webserver.
This looks long and difficult but I'm just being verbose. There really is only a few steps involved and once you've had some pratice, it'll literally take you a couple of minutes to set it all up.

There will be video help available at http://minicampaign.com/help if you need to see what to do.

Please follow these steps carefully. Once you've installed it a couple of times, it'll be easy.

1) unzip miniCampaign.zip to a folder called 'miniCampaign'.

2) using a FTP program or internet explorer like in the video, connect to your website and find the 'public_html' or 'htdocs' directory. Double-click this directory to open it and copy all the files from your new 'minicampaign' directory into it. If your not sure, see the help video's mentioned above for a demonstration.

3) Once the upload is finished, you should see the following files on your website:

admin
cgi-bin
data
images
common.inc.php.exe
email.class.php.exe
index.php.exe
run.php.exe
subscribe.php.exe
thanks.php.exe
template.inc.php

The first 4 are folders.
See the first 5 files that have .exe on the end? The're not really programs. I just added that to them because they have to be uploaded to the web server in 'binary' mode. If you don't understand, don't worry, you just need to rename them back by removing the .exe from the end.

The directory should then look like this:

admin
cgi-bin
data
images
common.inc.php
email.class.php
index.php
run.php
subscribe.php
thanks.php
template.inc.php

4) See the 'data' directory? Right-click on it and select properties'. You'll see a list of permissions for read, write and execute. Tick the empty boxes so all (9 of them) are ticked. This sets the permissions so minicampaign can write some files in there. Click Ok when done.

5) Now double-click on the 'admin' directory and do the same as in step 3. That is rename any files, removing the '.exe' from the end. That's it for the renaming.

5) Next, using your web browser, visit http://your.website.name/cpanel to log into your website's 'cpanel' and create a database called 'mini' with a user called 'mini' and a password of your choice.
Watch the video at http://minicampaign.com/help on 'creating a database using cpanel' if your unsure.

6) Next, go to http://your.website.name/admin to start the final setup phase. Follow the prompts and enter your database details.
You'll need (in order);
	a) Your database server name - most of you will need to enter 'localhost'
	b) Your database name - Like the video says, it'll most likely be your website logon with '_mini' on the end. If your website logon was 'jeoff', your database name would be 'jeoff_mini'.
	c) your database user name you created in step 5 which again should be your website logon with '_mini' on the end.
	d) Your database password you used in step 5. This time, it won't start with your website logon, it'll be exactly as you entered it (it's CaSe SenSiTiVe Too)

Click 'Next' to continue.

All the settings from this point forward are changable inside the admin area. Just go to 'Edit Setup' to edit these settings in future.

7) Enter a username and password you would like to use to access the admin area. These will also become your affiliate logon and password.

8) If you have the full version, You'll have the option of entering a confidence level for the Secret Weapon. This is the % accuracy you want the statistical analysis to reach before declaring a winning ad. If your unsure, just leave it at 80%. It's good to experiment a little once your comfortable with everything. Remember, it needs to be above 51% (effectively 1 sale) and below 99%.

9) Tick the PayPal and ClickBank options if you want accept payments by them. If you don't then you won't be able to use the affiliate PayPal and ClickBank buttons. It won't stop you from adding your own buttons, but your affilates won't be credited for any sales.

10) If you want to limit sales to a specific number before showing a 'sold out' image, you can enter it next. Leave it blank otherwise.

11) If you want people to be redirected to another website after filling in the autoresponder capture form, enter the url here (including the http://). If you do and want them to return, you'll need to set that on the alternate website.
As you edit the pages on miniCampaign, you'll see the direct URL you can send people to to visit that page without going through the built in system.

12) Fill in the blanks for your name, email address and default subject to be used when the autoresponder sends out emails for you.

13) The Max Emails Sent/Run is the amount of emails that will be processed every time someone visits one of your ad pages or you click on the 'Run' button in the admin area. Setting this too high will result in your web host getting upset. Keep it small until your list builds up. I wouldn't recommend more than 20 to 30.
The more visitors you have, the more times it will check if any emails need sending and the less this number needs to be.
Leave it at 10 and if you don't have enough traffic to send everyone their emails, then increase it slowly.
Click next.

14) Click on the 'Edit your affiliate details' link to include your paypal and clickbank affiliate id's otherwise you won't get paid! Once updated, the page will show you your affilate link, not that you need it ;)
Close the window when finished.

15) Using your FTP program (or internet explorer), delete the /admin/setup.php file from the web server and everything is complete. I have included some default templates and wording on all the pages just to make things quick and simple for you. You can leave them as they are to get things going or change them anytime.

Thats it. All done.

See the help video's for more information on how everything works and how to use miniCampaign to create your miniEmpire :)
